Tuscany: The original, the best: this is where the concept of "rowing vacations" was born!
Every day we'll be on the water, working on perfecting the essentials of our rowing technique. During this Fall Harvest Rowing Week, we'll focus on tasting Tuscany: in October so many things are at their peak deliciousness! The olive oil is new and pungent, the truffles are in season, the chocolatiers of the region are serving their most decadent treats, and all of this is enjoyed in a context of green hills, crisp air, and relaxed, off-season hospitality.
Our main rowing activities will take place on our secluded rowing basin, great for all levels of rowers thanks to its lack of other motorboat traffic. Occasionally we will row in a destination spot such as the Ponte Vecchio in Florence or the glowing sunset-tinged Arno in Pisa. If it's sunny we may even head to the sea for a bit of a coastal row. The other half of each day is dedicated to tasting and exploring, with a fabulous lunch in one of these spots, highlighting the local specialties.
We will absorb the true sense of Tuscan culture, where the choice of one ingredient makes the difference, where the season of the olive oil or the fossils in the vineyard impart details and "sfumature" that delight the palate . We help our guests infuse their lives and their rowing with the patience and harmony of the Tuscan culture: not just admire its churches and its artwork, but understand how a people can achieve such wealth.
